The TCF Tigers participate in the NCCAA DII. The NCCAA uses athletic competition to promote education, evangelism, and encouragement. All NCCAA teams participate in a service project during the regional tournament to help promote humility, integrity, and love. Our basketball programs also play in an additional tournament: Small Bible College National Invitational Tournament (NIT).

Daniel Johnson will begin his first season as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Trinity College of Florida. Before TCF, Johnson has held head coaching positions at Blackburn College, Penn State University Shenango, University of Maine at Fort Kent, Crossroads College, Kent State University at Tuscarawas.

Duties as Head Coach

Exhibit exceptional expertise as Two Dean’s List member. Plan and coordinate effective team practices in preparation for program’s competitions. Aid in organizing fundraising activities to facilitate program and athletics financially. Lead high-performing coaching and support staff and ensure seamless execution of tasks in compliance with set standards. Manage significant challenges associated with program’s budget in liaison with Athletic and Business Office. Deliver assistance in transitioning University of Maine women basketball team to NAIA. Streamline processes related to recruiting, performance appraisal, training, progress monitoring, and retention. Devote appropriate attention to all responsibilities, such as drafting complete roster of student-athletes, scheduling games and receiving guarantees games, and preparing scouting reports. Improved skills and developed talent by delivering exceptional coaching and training to SLIAC All-Conference student-athlete, Sportsmanship student-athlete, USCAA D1 All-American student-athlete, GLIAC All-Conference student-athlete, NCCAA Academic All-Americans. Tied for most wins and maximized projected conference preseason of Blackburn College women basketball team. Steered efforts towards starting defunct program for over two decades from its foundation. Governed and controlled basketball program within budgetary guidelines. Attained constantly high results and finished season in Top Ten across nation by leading University of Maine at Fort Kent women basketball team. Initiated and established personal growth by teaching Introduction to Sport Management and Sport Psychology

Assistant coach at Malone University

Devoted appropriate attention to scheduling of non-conference games and acknowledged guarantees from NCAA D1 teams. Delivered exceptional leadership support as academic success coordinator for team in charge of study hall. Held accountability for film exchange, watching film and offering support in creating scouting reports, as well as assisted with summer camps. Led, coached, and mentored GLIAC All-Conference student-athlete. Held credit of employing largest recruiting class at Malone for Varsity and built developmental teams. Coaching and training to GLIAC All-Conference student-athlete.

Education

Johnson received an Associate in Science in Medical Assisting, Bachelor of Art in Business Administration concentrating in Human Resource Management and received a Master of Art in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University in Irvine, California.

Military Service

He also served in the Florida Army National Guard followed by the United States Navy where he received a Joint Service Commendation Medal authorized by the Secretary of Defense and National Defense Medal.

All home games are livestreamed on the Trinity College of Florida official Facebook page, be sure to click “follow” for when the college goes “live.”

Most home games are recorded and posted on the Trinity College of Florida Youtube channel under the playlist TCF Athletics, be sure to click “subscribe” for when a new video is posted.

Away games may or may not be livestreamed by the host team, most of the teams record the games for replay on their own social media channels.
