Thomas Woodward, the author of Doubts about Darwin: A History of Intelligent Design (2003) and its sequel (2006), Darwin Strikes Back: Defending the Science of Intelligent Design, is coauthor with Dr. James Gills of The Mysterious Epigenome: What Lies Beyond DNA (2012). A graduate of Princeton University in the History Department, he received the Th.M. in Systematic Theology from Dallas Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Communication from the University of South Florida, with a research focus on the Rhetoric of Science.
Dr. Woodward, the Research Professor at Trinity College of Florida in Tampa Bay, has taught since 1988 in the areas of theology, apologetics, missions and the study of C.S. Lewis. The C. S. Lewis Society, founded at Princeton, was re-launched in Florida by Dr.Woodward in 1988 with the mission of explaining and defending the truth of Christianity through lectures, conferences and debates on campuses. Presentations have been given at Princeton, Dartmouth, Cambridge, Georgetown and 75 other university campuses.
Dr. Woodward’s weekly apologetics radio program, aired since 2006, is “The Universe Next Door.” Recent podcasts can be heard at soundcloud.com/the-universe-next-door (through WTBN radio). Woodward’s first book in 2002, Darwinism Under the Microscope, was co-edited with Dr. James Gills. His book on the “design movement controversy,” Darwin Strikes Back, was released in a Spanish translation--“Darwin Contraataca”--by Portavoz in 2008.
