Grants
Grants are available through the federal government, state government, and institution. Grant funds are do not have to be repaid after graduation.
Federal Grants
- Pell Grant – the main type of grant awarded through the FAFSA. It is need-based and eligibility will be determined from the information you provide on the application. Read more information here.
- Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) – secondary grant awarded through the FAFSA. Awarded only to students with the highest level of financial need. Read more information here.
- Iraq & Afghanistan Service Grant – awarded through the FAFSA to students whose parent or guardian was a member of the US armed forces and died as a result of military service performed in Iraq or Afghanistan after the events of 9/11. See additional eligibility criteria here.
State Grants
- Florida Student Assistance Grant – need-based grant awarded to Florida residents; must have a valid FAFSA on file for eligibility to be determined. Renewable as long as state criteria is met. More information on the FSAG.
Trinity College of Florida Grants
- Trinity College Grant – need-based grant awarded by the institution; must have a valid FAFSA on file for eligibility to be determined. Renewable as long as eligibility criteria continues to be met.
- Church Matching Grant – TCF matches up to $1,000 per semester for students whose home church is providing them with a scholarship to attend our institution. Renewable as long as church is providing funds. Applicable to traditional students or students in the Quest Adult Degree Completion program.
- Christian Workers Grant – allows students of full-time pastors or missionaries to receive a grant of $1,000 per year. Verification of status must be provided in the form of an official letter on church/mission organization letterhead.
- Referral Grant – non-renewable award is given at $1,000 per year to students who are referred to TCF by their pastor or an alumnus. Verification of referral must be provided in the form of an official letter on church letterhead (for pastor referral) or a signed letter (alumni referral).
- Word of Life Grant – this is awarded to students transferring to TCF from the Word of Life Bible Institute. It is awarded at $2,000 per year (off-campus students) and $4,000 per year (on-campus resident students). Renewable as long as eligibility criteria continues to be met.
- Early Acceptance Grant – non-renewable award given to incoming students who complete their Admissions application by a given deadline:
- Completion of Admissions application by December 1 of the year prior to entering TCF: $1,000
- Completion of Admissions application by May 1 of the year entering TCF: $500
- Quest Ministerial Grant – this award is specific to the Quest Adult Degree Completion program. TCF awards $500 per year to students who are full-time missionaries or full-time, paid staff members of a church serving in a ministerial role as defined by their job description. In addition, if the student’s church or missions organization is giving them a scholarship to attend TCF, that amount can be matched up to 50% of tuition. Contact the FA Office for more information.
- Quest Grant – this award is specific to the Quest Adult Degree Completion program. It is awarded based on financial need as evaluated by the FAFSA. Renewable as long as eligibility criteria continues to be met.
- Senior Citizen Grant – If a student qualifies as a senior citizen (65+), they are eligible for a grant of $255 per credit hour.
