International Panel to Discuss Intelligent Design

The C.S. Lewis Society is hosting the “Signature in the Cell” event at The A La Carte Pavilion (4050 Dana Shores Drive, Tampa, FL 33634) on Thursday, January 28, 2010.  The event will feature a panel discussing DNA and the evidence for the theory of intelligent design.  The panel will include:

  • Michael Medved, nationally syndicated radio talk show host, best-selling author and veteran film critic. His daily three-hour program, emphasizing the intersection of politics and pop culture, reaches close to 5 million listeners in over 200 markets.
  • Dr. Stephen Meyer, Director and Senior Fellow of the Center for Science and Culture at the Discovery Institute
  • Dr. Tom Woodward, Founder and Executive Director of the C.S. Lewis Society and research professor and chair of the Bible/Theology division at Trinity College of Florida 
  • Dr. David Berlinski, Senior Fellow at the Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture. He is the author of numerous books, including The Devil’s Delusion: Atheism and Its Scientific Pretensions.  He has taught philosophy, mathematics and English at Stanford, Rutgers, the City University of New York and the Université de Paris.  

Doors open at 6:00pm with the event scheduled from 7:00pm to 9:30pm.  Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for students and can be purchased online at or over the phone at 727-376-6911 ext. 336.
