Board Elects New Chairman

The Trinity College of Florida Board of Trustees elected John Whitehead as their new chairman at their October 29th meeting.  Mr. Whitehead, a resident of Wellington, FL, is president of J.W. Fire Sprinkler located in south Florida.  Mr. Whitehead was first elected to the Board of Trustees in October 2006 and has served on the board’s executive and student life & admissions/retention committee.

Mr. Whitehead succeeds outgoing chairman, and former City of Tarpon Springs Mayor, Tom Ash.  Dr. Ash served as chairman for 19 years and remains a member of the board’s executive committee. 

Mr. Whitehead has served on several non-profit boards throughout the state of Florida.  He has been married to his wife, Bonnie, for 29 years and has two adult children.
