Church Ministries - Youth Emphasis

The Church Ministries major provides the student with the academic preparation necessary for ministry along with professional preparation in a particular area of ministry concentration. Within the Church Ministries major students select a concentration in Pastoral Ministry, Worship Ministry, or Youth Ministry.

The Youth Ministry concentration provides training for men and women specializing in careers relating to church
and/or para-church ministries with adolescents.

Students successfully completing this program will demonstrate:

1. Ability to articulate a Biblical philosophy of youth ministry,
2. Ability to strategize a long-term ministry to adolescents, and
3. Ability to communicate effectively to adolescents through teaching, leading Bible studies, and camp-centered
discipleship training.
