Church Ministries - Worship Emphasis

The Church Ministries major provides the student with the academic preparation necessary for ministry along with professional preparation in a particular area of ministry concentration. Within the Church Ministries major students select a concentration in Pastoral Ministry, Worship Ministry, or Youth Ministry.

The Worship Ministry concentration develops skills in the philosophy, theology, and practice of worship all based on a strong Biblical foundation. The program helps students meet a need that is increasingly being felt in the church for people who can serve in worship ministries positions.

Students successfully completing this program will demonstrate:

1. Professional skills in pastoral relationships and leadership,
2. Knowledge of the philosophical and theological foundations of worship, and
3. Practical ability in the development and implementation of worship in the local church.
