Dr. Eric Bargerhuff
Eric J. Bargerhuff, Ph.D. is the Director of the Honors Program and teaches in the Bible and Theology Department. He has served in pastoral ministry for over 22 years and has served in churches in Ohio, Illinois, and Florida. He received his Ph.D. in Biblical and Systematic Theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. In addition to his love for the church, Eric loves to write and is the author of two books, the first entitled Love that Rescues: God's Fatherly Love in the Practice of Church Discipline, (2010) and his latest book entitled The Most Misused Verses in the Bible: Surprising Ways God's Word is Misunderstood (2012). Further, he is in the process of writing his third book similarly entitled The Most Misused Stories in the Bible which is due out in the Spring of 2017. Eric is an avid fan of Indiana University basketball (as he grew up in Indiana), loves the Chicago Cubs, and enjoys singing, writing, cooking, biking, and everything football. Eric and his family live in the heart of Trinity, Florida.
